This industry-relevant course prepares students for entry to mid-level roles in IT support, systems management, and networking through practical labs and real-world simulations.

The Certification in Computer Hardware and Networking course is a comprehensive, hands-on program designed to prepare learners for real-world IT support and networking roles. Aligned with the latest industry practices, the course begins with foundational knowledge of computer systems, hardware components, and safe handling procedures. Students then progress to practical modules focused on PC assembly, BIOS/UEFI configuration, and installing operating systems like Windows and Linux.

Networking principles are covered in-depth, including cable creation, IP addressing, DHCP/DNS, and the setup of routers, switches, and wireless access points. Advanced troubleshooting modules teach learners how to diagnose hardware faults, network conflicts, and software errors using industry tools.

Practical skills in file sharing, NTFS permissions, bulk software installation, and firewall rule setting prepare students to manage computers in small to medium-sized office environments. Modules also emphasize preventive maintenance, data protection, and network security best practices. The course concludes with a job-simulation module that replicates real IT service desk responsibilities, ticket handling, and lab design.

From entry-level hardware knowledge to advanced network administration, this course ensures students develop the technical fluency, troubleshooting ability, and professionalism expected in IT roles such as support technician, field engineer, and network assistant.

The Certification in Computer Hardware and Networking opens up strong career prospects across IT infrastructure, support, and networking domains. With hands-on training in PC assembly, OS installation, network configuration, and troubleshooting, learners are prepared to step confidently into real-world tech environments.

1. Entry-Level: IT Support Assistant / Hardware Technician - At this stage, learners take on roles such as helpdesk support or hardware technician. They assist with assembling desktops, installing drivers, configuring printers, setting up basic wired/wireless networks, and responding to routine user issues. These roles form the backbone of IT operations in schools, small businesses, and corporates.

2. Junior-Level: Networking Assistant / Field Technician - With experience, learners can grow into roles supporting networking infrastructure. Tasks may include LAN cable crimping, router and switch configuration, basic firewall adjustments, and onsite support. They also troubleshoot IP conflicts and connectivity issues, often under senior supervision.

3. Mid-Level: System Administrator / Network Support Technician-Professionals at this level manage user accounts, OS imaging, remote troubleshooting, and device-level security. They configure BIOS settings, group policies, monitor network performance, and ensure uptime in office environments.
